Anita Ashfield-Salter is a graphic designer turned Illustrator. She’s originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico and now lives in Denver, Colorado with her family. She has a BFA in Graphic Design from NMSU and worked in advertising for over twelve years.

 

 

In 2009, she created Monkey Mind Design. It’s been a dream come true for her to run her own business and see her illustrations on products like greeting cards, giftware, and fabric collections. Her work brings to life the vibrant color palettes and unique themes of the Southwest. Whimsical and bright scenes come to life with Anita’s playful use of color, dynamic patterns, and textures making her digital artwork reflect the positive messages that are innate in her collections. Her point of view is influenced by generations of folk artists and the rich artistic community resonates in her style.
